We are hiring a customer support / web developer for our Romanian office.

About Distancify

Founded in 2017, Distancify is an e-commerce consultancy company based in Sweden. We are a small team of 8 people, but together we have many years of experience with e-commerce.

Our goal is to give our clients the best possible end-to-end solutions of the highest possible quality, ranging from warehouse logistics to end-user shopping experience.

We currently have offices in Skövde and Alingsås in Sweden and Baia Mare in Romania.

About this role

Everyone at Distancify is a Developer in some capacity, and as a support agent you’re no exception.

You will be responsible for the first response to our customers, who are business users. In most cases you will be solving the problems yourself, and in other cases you delegate to the appropriate person. You will also serve as a support to the core developer team with simpler front-end development.

Your role focuses on cutting down the response time for customer’s questions and requests for minor changes to their store, e-mails and other means of communication.

The role requires a deep dedication to making people happy, and you’ll get ample opportunity to make someone’s day.

Requirements

You are people-oriented, service-minded and have impeccable English skills, both spoken and written. You’re comfortable talking to customers and house a passion for servicing people, not just ticking boxes.

You have 1+ year of front-end web development (HTML, CSS, JS).

Non required but valued experience includes Vue.js. Git, GraphQL.

If we think you might be a good fit we’ll follow up with an informal meeting over a video call to see if you are a good cultural match to the office and to Distancify in general, the meeting will be around 30 min. We’ll follow up within two business days after the meeting to let you know if we’d like to move forward or not.

As it is our goal only to hire the best candidates and create teams of excellency (even for student workers), it is likely we will ask you to perform one or two online tests.

Should you pass the tests, you will have more interviews with people in our team.

The last step includes a workday try-out where you get to follow one of our developers for a day. We’ll be probing for your competence and you will have a chance to see first-hand what a day at Distancify looks like.

The final step is closing the job contract including offer negotiation, which most likely will be done through an online video call.
